Sad looking 300SEL 6.3

On my way to Keyes Mercedes Van Nuys Blvd. Van Nuys CA., i passed this sad looking 6.3 with expired plates and a City warning / ticket.
The upholstery looked decent. It might make either a good project, or a parts car that probably can be had for next to nothing.
It's parked on Weddington, just East of Van Nuys Blvd (Midas shop on corner), the cross street is one St. South of Keyes MB.
Cheers

Looks like it has seen better days,

you should knock on the doors and see if anyone wants to sell their "old Benz"

might get it for next to nothing.

That really looks like a great opportunity to get a good car and turn it into an amazing ride. I heard that the 6.3 engine is hard to maintain since there're no more parts available! I'd still like to own a W108!

Not part of the in-crowd since 1952. It's BRAKES not breaks. You break a bone, use brakes to stop your car. /rant

As one of the classic Mercedes designs and one of the legendary MRZ of any generation, it's criminal that one has been subjected to a vinyl top and allowed to deteriorate to that state. A completely restored version is worth $$$$, but you'll spend $$$$+ to get it back where it ought to be. Maybe it will make a donor car for another restoration, but that's one less 6.3 on the road. Pity that.

The location is in the first post.
I'll try to drive through there, to see if its still parked on the street.
101 Fwy exit Van Nuys Blvd. North.
My friend Vjeko restored a silver 6.3 a few years ago. Great cars with monster torque.
Cheers
