Wich 250 ?
A W108 or W114 ?

If you mean W114, I would test the fan by hooking up some cables directly to the coupling on the front wall.. There are 1ground, and 3 different speed connectors.
Don't remember wich is wich.. But in many cases it's the resistance-block inside the ventilation chamber (in front of the windshield) that has stopped working.

Hi.
Do you have a standard heater or a BEHR AC ?
If you have the standard heater.. Then it will look like this:
Ê*ò*ëîã
At the top picture you see part no 64.. Wich is the fan-regulator. That one is placed here:

Just inside the ventilationchamber in front of the windshield. It's held in place with 2 philips-screws..

As you can see here, at my ongoing restaration, the plug is right above the brake-booster.
Here you can hook up the wires to the 4 pins inside the plug, and in that way dry-run the fan itself.. If the fans spins up, at all three speeds, then the resistance-box is ok, and the problem is likely to be in the main switch in the dashboard (or the fuse ??)
Or, of course, the fan itself..

You only have to dismantle the wiper-blades AND the vetilation-grill to remover the resistance-box..

To get to the FAN, you have to onhook the water-hoses, and then romve the complete vetilation-system from within the car.. A rather big job actually.. But not that many bolts & Screws..
