Post Carb Service

Anyone know any good shops in the Maryland DC area? I like to take in my 71 250 and have the cards adjusted.

Thanks

although i do not live in your area, i would like to give you some advice. i have had numerous problems with my carbs and they all started by letting someone who said he knew what he was doing try to adjust them. in the end my parents where going on vacation to greece, so i removed them and had them rebuilt by my uncle who services only old mercedes taxis down there. bottom line be very careful. just thought i would share that with you

Norbert Lamp at HBL in Tysons is about the only guy in the DC area who even knows what a carburator looks like.

Thanks guys...

I think I found a good place its in Millersville MD. They specialize in these types of MBs, and the mechanic really knew what he was talking about. Its unfortunate but I must say that there are a lot of lousy shops/mechanics. I am still debating if I should just do the job myself...

Hello again,
Im the guy with the MB 1977 Mint 250 who had carb trouble too. I know you're not in my area, but the only guy I know who can do it is a Tech from Beifus Mercedes Benz, Valley Rd., South Orange, N.J.
As I mentioned in past correspondence, not even today's factory trained technicians can work on carbs. This European born authorized M.B. technician owned a new 1977 250, and he still has his original synch tool. Call Steve, an he can set you up, if you want to take a ride.
