Yep, D-jet 280E was available in the W114 Body. Some were optioned with a 5 speed which i'm sure was a whole heap of fun.

With best regards

[B]i have a w114 that i absolutely love. these models were built solid and have great accelaration for having carbs. carbs have not given me any problems in the 2 years i have owned it and turns right on everytime. other than a tune-up and the tires, i haven't put too much money in it. i would highly recommend buying a w114 for a daily or a sunday driver...either way it'll get looks.

I wouldnt call the 280e a rocket although they are fast enough to suprise a few people who expect an old cr to dawdle, my coupe isnt bad certainly wont hit 130mph, it'll get close to 120 though, but then i'm never satisfied and thats why i'm chucking the I6 out and fitting a V8.
