$ 400 slc at impound auction!!

while i was on one of those"state sponsored vacations" my 74 slc dissappeared at last weeks local impound auction there was a 73 450 slc i went hoping not to spend over a $2000 the car was marked "no run, motor locked up" on the winshield after realizing all fluids were perfect, engine compartment pristine, body straight&original i decided she had to be mine. The key which was broke off in the lock was a major pain but after being able to budge the engine w\a wrench on a pulley i removed the cylinder & she fired on half a revolution!!! just got back from running the half tank she had & refilling w/premium the car is mechinacally flawless had her up to 125{would have gone all the way if not for the stock wheel&tires, orig hubcaps even} Here's a picture taken at the impound yard Benzworld.org - Mercedes Benz Discussion Forum

I'll give ya $500 for it.. haha. What a good deal. My SL was free, so I can't complain, you'll put the $$ back into it pretty quick though. Enjoy, The 107's are awesome driving cars.
