You have to wonder how those two beautiful old sedans came to be outside in the teeth of a tropical storm. It's easy to do coulda, woulda, shoulda at this juncture. The finny might not be "worth" garage storage fees in somebody's mind, but you would think the post-war one would. I think I would have set my Camry in the street and put the old MRZ in the house. What a shame.

What's the story behind that fintail? Looks like a W112 body, but without 300SE trim.

Sad stuff.

The reporter said the older Mercedes was recently restored, worth a lot of money, and one of only a few thousand made. Why would the owner leave such a valuable car outside when they knew a very powerful storm was going to come through? Maybe no garage. If it was so valuable, I would have rented a storage unit. Heck, I wouldn't leave any car like that on the street for fear it would get hit, scratched, or stolen.

No one owns autos like that and leaves them out anytime, unless they are looking to collect on them. People do this and worse on regular cars to get out from under a bad loan, but to do this to these Mercedes is a crime itself. Reckless abandon and fraud!
