Whoo Hoo...recent W108 Owners!

Hey guys. New to the Vintage forum due to recent addition to the family: Found this car the other day and after one drive around the block had to have it. Did little if any research, based all my decisions on the fact that it left two black marks through first and barked them into second. The test drive went onto the freeway where she was smooth...no shimmy, shakes or rattles.

For the most part, it's pretty clean, has a little issue here and there. Owner was selling as he took it in on trade for labor and since he is in late 60's felt this was more car than he bargained for (and the fact that the heater core, I think, is leaking all over your feet when you drive.) I think we got it for a steal.

Drive train is 1972 Vette 350 with a turbo 400 tranny. Custom driveshaft to MB rear end.

Any pointers would be great. I saw the other update from a fella that just got his and we are preparing to lube chassis this weekend (it will be over 100 here...should help the grease flow!)

So...how hard is it going to be to get this heater core fixed?

Right on!! Interesting engine setup! Getting to the heater core is going to be a bitch. Essentially, you'll have to remove the entire dash to get to the it. This includes the glove box, the dash wood, everything. How's the heater blower run? This might be a good time to replace that too...

That looks a lot like Dan's car in TX. He has a 300hp Chevy 350 with a 700R4 tranny.
