w108 transmission?'s

So far I've found two used ones in Dallas one for $550 with exchange and one for $750. These are both from salvage yards and I've been told I may have a problem with one of these guys trying to sell me a transmission from a different model can anyone tell me how to distinguish a w108 250se transmission from a 111 or anything else if possible? i.e. serial/product numbers something of that sort. Or if anybody's got any other tips anything would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

1968 250SE Engine/Transmission

Hi;

I have a 4 speed automatic transmission from my 1968 250SE. I have done a powertrain conversion on the car and the transmission is looking for a new home. Its a bit dirty on the outside (and still hooked to the original engine at this time). The engine/trans have 187,732 miles on them. I put 23 miles on them before pulling the engine/transmission. The car drove into the garage under its own power. The transmission shifted smoothly through all gears.
PM me or email me at bugracing@yahoo.com if your interested in either just the transmission or the entire package.

Chris

engine

Hi Gustav

I was wondering since you are wanting to get rid of the tranny, what are the plans for the engine? Specifically, the fuel injection.
