Which windshield seal to buy

I am buying a windshield seal online. I have two different manufacturers to choose from. Both are suppose to be OEM replacements. The first one is APA, and the other is Febi. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated. Thanks.

Neither seal is OEM, but both are respectable brands. Toss a coin, it really makes no difference.

Well I bought a non genuine one for a W123 I had, within 12 months it was leaking, had to patch it up with sealant.

Wouldn't touch a non genuine seal again.

Have heard similar stories from other people also, only way to go is genuine for parts like this.

Sounds fine on the surface, but Febi selling weatherstrips is about like Bosch selling oil filters. Remember those?

No doubt that genuine is best - IF you can afford it.

I bought new seals for my SL. I think the A-pillars were Meyle and the door seals something like URO? No trouble installing either and they seem to be holding up fine. Considerable cheaper that OE seals especially here in Canada, where MB Canada do not seem to have adjusted their prices to match change in dollar value.

Did buy OE for window brush seals and paid an arm & leg!

Sorry, no.. Don't remember those..
Bosch has many many fine products, but most producers have had some bad products during their time..
Just think of MB W210.. Does RUST sound familiar to anyone ?

Well I went with the APA instead of the Febi, Only because more suppliers tend to sell APA vs. Febi. However, Febi is on average $10 cheaper. The glass place that is doing the installation said APA was fine and should be no problems. They just said to stay away from the $40 seals that you see online-they are junk and do not fit properly. I appreciate the input everyone, Thanks
