Just joined the site, and was hoping someone could help me with a few vintage parts I've had in the attic for years. All of them are original parts in the Mercedes box or wrap with part numbers, but hours of searching on the net came up with nothing. Any help is appreciated!

First is a water temperature gauge with cable, #198 542 0105. Temps in F range 100/150/180/210/230/Redline/250.

Next is a ignition lock w/ keys & saddle, #120 462 0941. Also have a sideview mirror, #1158100316.

Finally is a Radiator Grille and surround, #110-880-00-85. I think its for early 60's 220 but not sure.

Any ideas?

The first item is fits a 300SL, not sure what else.
No idea on the first second item. The second second item fits 114/115 chassis from 1968 - 1973.
The third item fits many models from the 60's (110, 111, 112 chassis)

Yes, I have an idea about your grille, because I ordered this part number for a 1968 280SE (two door pillarless coupe) I owned. What I needed was the "heavy" mesh and got this "fine" mesh which I understand was used on all the 110 models except mine. So it means that I have a spare mesh as well! And some retainers and clips. I found your comment by googling the part number (I'm in New Zealand). However, I believe that models supplied to the US market were known as "low grilles" with, understandably a lower grille. I think the most helpful thing I can tell you is that this should be for a car made 1965 through to early 1970s. Take a look at Mercedes-Benz S-Class - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hope this is helpful!
