I recently purchased a 1968 280SE with 90k miles. I just got it out of the paint shop last week and I am now working on finishing the restoration; however, i am in need of a few parts. I would prefer OEM, but would accept aftermarket. This is my first Mercedes and I am not sure where to look for parts. I took some pictures with my digital camera this weekend and as soon as I get a chance I will get them transferred and uploaded. I would greatly appreciate guidance to any type of resource for 280SE parts (mainly mechanical).
Not much available for parts in the aftermarket. mercedes has a good scheme going if you are a member of a Daimler AG affiliated club .You get a really good discount and as much info as you need direct from the classic center in Irvine, California.They even have a Ebay site.
