I always believe in originals and if you plan to sell this classic in the future, collectors would rather have a none shiny engine. Just probably clean it with gunk spray cleaner and then change the rubber tubings . I hope I have been of help.

I hope to get the original matt-look finish yes.. Shiny "chrome"-like is no good ..
