Post Timing M110 Djet

Hi, can anyone tell me the correct timing at idle, with and without vacuum
for my W114 280CE M110 engine with a D Jetronic fuel injection
and if possible the dwell angle. It`s quite difficult to find info on this model,
I believe it was not exported to the USA .I`m in Ireland so it would be European spec.

Of-course.. This engine is not in my book..

But, the book says that all US model 110'engines seem to be at 10 BTDC on both static and dynamic.. (With vacuum-retard OFF)..
But, the book mainly focuses on 923-984 and 988 engines.. So, I can't guarantee anything...

US models are set by emmision regulations, but they didn`t have injection untill the W123
in 1976,mine is a 1973 W114 280 CE English Right hand drive. America only had the
W114 280C with carbs.

The Americans missed out on that one. The W116 here had the same Djet M110.
check the German /8 ( stracht 8) forums.
/8-Forum
It says this here,
The distributor is adjusted with running engine with 4500 U/Min without unterdruckverstellung (negative pressure hose to take off) to 43 degrees before OT (in /8) or 40 degrees before OT (in the W123). Subsequently, tighten clamping screw for the attachment of the distributor.

Hard to do alone, 4,500 rpm and car has no rev counter. That`s why I need timing at idle.

8-12 BTDC at idle with vacuum connected.
idle is quite high at 750-800 rpm.
