Idle problem for W108 280SEL (3.5) from 1971....Please help - Mercedes-Benz Forum

Idle problem for W108 280SEL (3.5) from 1971....Please help

My cold engine start reving funny, it just keep idling with engine revs going up and down until the engine warms up. I think it has something to do with the cold idling control sensor or something like that but the problem is I need to find source to buy replacement.....

Can someone here please advise where I can buy parts from?

its the cold start valv. just hit it with a ruber hammer a cople times

Thx for your advise using the hammer to try n solve the problem, I have already done this but I think it needs to be replaced. Please advise where I might be able to order one vis internet...

I would try Napa Auto Parts. I've had some really good luck finding stuff. If it starts on cold days but revs up and down, it's not your cold start injector. I would start looking for vacuum leaks (a beast to track down). Good luck!
