72 350SL 6 cylinder
I am looking at a '72 350 SL with a 6 cylinder dual over cam.
Is this right?
Looks original.
I took the number from the drivers side window plate.
There are not 17 digits
107.043.12.002820
Can anyone find out what this car is about?

Looks like someone blew the original M116 V8 and replaced it with an M110 6. Definitely not original -- far from it.

It says the car is a Euro version 72 350SL with left-hand drive, an automatic transmission and a V8 under the hood.

good
OK thanks - How is it a Euro version?... and what makes it different?
Now then, so I got a dohc with a 280 because its fuel injected.
This would also give it the duel row timing chain too - this is good
What year might this engine be?
Thanks for helping by the way
