PCV hose on 78 240D - Benzworld.org

I have a PCV hose on my 78 240D that I can't figure out where it goes. When I purchased the car the PCV hose was stuffed in the air filter intake and left the air filter housing oily and fouled the air filter very quickly. I started looking around for where it went and found a hose off the intake manifold that had a stopper in it. I connected my PCV hose to the intake manifold and within a month I had all kinds of oil leaks then it blew the L shaped hose that connects to the top of the valve cover so I'm questioning if this is the correct connect for the hose. Does anyone know where this PCV hose is supposed to connect on the 240D and does it need any type of PCV valve?

i think it connects under the air filter. I will look on mine when i get a chance and let you know.
