i was just wondering from so people who know mercedes whether or not a 1971 MB 220 diesel is worth anything, my dad has one that's been in the garage for as long as i can remember and now they're moving to a smaller house and he wants me to just sell the car, i was just going to post in local classifieds but was wondering if maybe it's worth something i should put on ebay or something...outside and inside are in excellent condition, no rust , no cracks, chrome on outside is in great condition as well, as far as i know it's all original, or appears to be anyway, i've never had much interest in asking details about it from my dad, so i'm pretty clueless, any advice on how i should go about selling would be great and maybe a dollar amount of what i should try to get....thanks!
You should be able to get some money out of this car with a little effort. take the car out, wash/polish it and take some nice pictures. then you post it on internet and hope to find a buyer :-) You can post it on this site allso, good luck!
Only down side is that these cars don't like to sit. Especially these diesel engines. Rings, seals, hoses, all get brittle and things just don't work right.
