old 300sel

looks like an old 300sel, you should find out what engine is in it, i would assume it is a 4.5. They are fairly good cars to have but they are gas hogs as they get bad gas mileage. If you wanted to have an old classic car to keep garaged and for sunday drives that car would be great. However the parts can be very pricey as they are becoming rarer and rarer.

Word of advice, if it has the air ride suspension it will cost you a lot of money to repair that.

Oh come on, look at the engine, it's the 3.0 M189 6 cyl.

To our Russian friend, check out 300SE_Main_Page_1 and The International M-100 Group for air suspension information. You want to contact Chris Johnson.

The air suspension internals, read leveling valves, distribution valve, air tank, compressor, air bags and hoses, will need to be overhauled. The interior looks bad and will need new leather, and then there is the rust issue.

My advice is to look for another car in better shape and use that one for spare parts. The car is a 300SE LWB, they didn't add the L until 1966 it's chassis number starting with 112.015. My father had one way back when and the car is an absolute joy to drive and is very fast. The air suspension gives the best ride and rivals the hydropheumatic ride of the 6.9.

Not part of the in-crowd since 1952. It's BRAKES not breaks. You break a bone, use brakes to stop your car. /rant

francklin;

It looks like that car is sitting at a salvage auction site. This car was most likely flooded during hurricane Katherina, which is why it looks in such rough shape. Find a different car. This one will only give you trouble. Its not worth the cost of shipping it from the US to Russia. The shipping cost will far exceed what it is worth.

Well stated Gustav! That car, if from New Orleans, will be a money pit.
