You don't say what kind of mileage the car has, or if the carbs are original, so...
I get around 16 MPG with my current 250C...your mileage will vary greatly depending on how well the car is tuned, driving style, and how the Zeniths are holding up (if original carbs). My first 250 got around 12 until I swapped the original dual Zenith carbs, worn and leaking, with Webers.
As far as problem areas, there aren't any specific problems with this engine, but with any 35 year old car, the key is past maintenance. If the engine oil changes have been done by the book, and it hasn't been sitting a long time, these engines last. A one-owner should have lots and lots of receipts. If you're really lucky, you'll get the original maintenance booklet with the stamps from the dealer whenever services were performed.
