Water in trunk and footwells, how?

My 1972 220 accumulates water in the left rear footwell and in the left rear section of the trunk. This is after a heavy rainfall. Where could this water be getting in? The trunk seal looks good and so does the door seal. The weatherstrip (the seal that stays on the car when the door is opened) is shot though and I dont know where to get a replacement. Someone suggested the water may be getting through the rear window seal but it looks ok to me. Any ideas? This is a rust-free car and I want to keep it that way.

Try your rear window seal. Take a garden hose and have someone run water at the bottom, moving up. If you see water coming in, wither replace the seal or caulk it carefully.

^ What he said. Don't forget to test your taillight seals, and every other seal you see.
