Car sitting for 4 years - what to do?

I found a car which has sat outside for 4 years. Its a 1972 220, it had failed emissions (idle only) in 2003 and was parked. What to do for a car that has sat this long. I presume change all fluids and filters (engine, trans, brakes), new battery, drain and flush gas tank. What else? Clean carb? How does one flush the tank and fuel lines?
I think I want to get it running and check the compressions and emissions before I do anything else.

Last of all what is the best place to get a replacement windshield (do they make one with the tint at the top?) and headlamp and tail-light units (one headlamp is cracked, both tail lights are cloudy. Will the later ribbed tail lights replace the early ones? What can be done about a large white steering wheel that has both main arms badly cracked? There is no power steering, could I fit the later smaller wheel? Thanks.

Its colour 542 (dark red) but it looks burgundy, is this what that colour should look like? I should have some photos of this car to post shortly.

Number one - drain the gas and get rid of it (my dad would have poured it on the fenceline, to keep down the weeds ). There's a drain plug at the bottom of the tank. I'd also take out the gas tank (a 5 min job) and have it steam cleaned. As for the rest of the fluids, I'd do that too, especially the oil. Good luck!

make sure the belts and hoses are in good condition as they are rubber and tend to not like sitting for years in the weather
