'74 240D clutch hydraulics

Just traded a guy my old Ford Explorer(270,000 miles), for a 240D. Needs new clutch hydraulics. I've done this on my audi, mazda, and honda, but never on an old benz. Anyone have any useful tips. Is the transmission the same as the gasoline version? How much different is the 240D for the 220D besides .2 Liters?
