W107 no heat...the more I look, the puzzler I gits...HELP!!!!

With the glovebox out and flashlight in hand, I have a problem I cannot figure out. There's the flex tube which connects to the air sampler in the top center of the dash (I put a new piece of foam hose from Home Depot on it, GREAT fix!). The PROBLEM is that the other end of this flex hose is connected to NOTHING after it snakes around the wiring and ends up right near the accordion hose to the right fresh-air outlet. I KNOW that sampling hose has to go somewhere, considering George Murphy told me about an electro-mechanical switch in there somewhere that samples cabin air temperature and turns on the Aux Water Pump below 65 degrees F. For the life of me, I cannot find that blasted switch. I'll bet this end of the sampling hose goes to it.

This whole mystery is because my Aux Water Pump doesn't turn on, even though I've powered it with a separate 12V source and it sure goes like blazes then! There's no heat in DEF, either, so I suspect that the otherwise clean-looking OEM Servo is shot. Thank goodness I have one of George Murphy's rebuilds. He's checking it out for me right now, so my old Servo is still in there.

Can SOMEONE give me an idea where the other end of that snaky sampler hose I described, is supposed to connect to? And, what this device/switch is supposed to look like?

Thanks, gang!
Many Thanks and God Bless!!

My guess is that the hose goes to the right-side vent. The vent typically would have a "Y" connection for the air-cond and the heater vent hoses leading to it
