How's the car coming along? How are the rear floorpans (under the carpets) in your car?

The rust was fixed by my parents, she just had to be kept indoors. it was around the rear wheels tho, not the floor. We've always lived inland, so the ocean/salt isn't a problem.

Since i got her in September, my other car has died twice... well not died, just the battery, but every time i start the 240d, she starts first go and saves the day. such an awesome car.

i feel bad these days for thinking it was old and slow 15-20 years ago.

Yep. Once you have a nice 240D , I can think of no significant reason to ever need to buy another car.
My mums neigbour is a great example of that; he bought his 240D in Germany in 1974 , tourist delivery , drove it around the world , back home to New Zealand , used it every day in his work , now he is retired , he is very proud of the 700,000+ kms he has done , and still he drives it regular. And it looks GREAT on the road. Bright orange , eh!

I hope you are still having fun with your car stampy.

started up my baby tonight after two months of nothing. previously the vacuum hose for the brakes rattled itself off so i had no brakes.. so that kinda scared me for a bit. i always get a dumb silly smile on my face when i drive her.
