new to forums need help! 1967 250SE

spoiler: basically i just need to know how to change oil and filter

hello my name is mark and I'm new to the forums and could really use some help. recently I acquired a '67 250SE and it hasn't been running for at least 3 to 4 years so its going to need some major restoration. As of now I have flushed the radiator and ran B-12 chemtool thru gas tank to clean tank/injectors....I bought some radiator flush from O'reilly and ran that thru now I plan on changing the oil and oil filter. After dumping old oil I will need to replace the filter and add warm marvel mystery oil along with 10W30 and run for about 15-20 minutes. then I will change the oil and filter again and replace with just 10W30. I have only learned this from a friend and so if anything sounds wrong please let me know, also I could use some tips on how to change the oil and filter. I am a beginner with all this and could really use any tips thank you very much.

Before starting this, clean the outside of the motor completely.
The best thing to do is drop the subpan and valve cover up top.
Then you can clean through the motor with solvent flush.
( I follw this with simple green and water )
And clean everything the oil toughes, don't worry about the "varnish"
This insures clean oil.
These motors have very few places for sludge to accumulate,
The chain tensioner has a cup be sure to clean-out.
Excellent design
17mm wil get oil filter can and oil cooler drain plug,

I do this to all the Benz motors I have and the oil stays clean for years afterward.

1 tip, always buy your filter from a dealer. They are dearer, but the quality is second to none and you get All the seals you will need for the filter canister ,sump plug and oil cooler if you have one. If you do have a cooler it will be that tall skinny radiator next to the big radiator. It has a 17 mm bung on the bottom .
