Gullwing Kit Car

I'm looking to build my own Gullwing. Any direction I need to go in first?

i like your spirit. but unless you plan to spend mucho $$$, it will look like crap.

and after spending all that moolah, you end up with something less

There was a copy on Ebay for $50,000 and it looked poor. I would settle on buying a nice W111 or W113 rather than building a kit car which will look less than the real thing.

There is a company in Florida that makes very realistic looking replica's. Few years back when I last checked they used w124 300E inline 6 with 5 speed manual, they were about $65,000.00 then, might be up to about $80,000.00 now if they are still in business....I want one myself and considering 1/2 million is current price for a nice car...it looks to be a bargain as long as you are realistic and understand you may never get even 1/2 your money when you are bored with it.

"I don't know anything for a fact",but have lots of opinions that might or might not pan out!

If you think about it at the end of the day you're filled with buyer's remorse for spending $80,000 on a $5000 300E!

I really don't understand the point of building a car that looks like something else. It's purely cosmetic and something to be seen in. The purists know it's not real and they are the only people who would give it the recognition for what it is.

Might be cheaper just to buy gullwing door kits for your car on Ebay for $300.
