Chrome Trim Q(Rain Gutters?) 76 300d

I was wondering if any one had any insight on the rain gutter things on the side of the roof of how to install and where i can get the rubber strip thing that goes along the top of it just getting to this section of the rebuild after paint i'll post new pics when it is done(well it will Never be DONE so to speak but becomes at least a weekend car )

Not positive on your model, but on the W123 body the rubber trim is actually metal with a rubber coating. It is simply pulled off starting at one end, and installed with a mallet and a plastic block. The MB manual says it is a disposable item and must be replaced if removed. It would be available at the Mercedes dealer or possible aftermarket sources. Not sure how the side rain gutters that the rubber/metal trim attaches to comes off. Most likely some screws either in the door jamb or maybe under the windshield rubber.
