108 vs. 109

can someone help me diiferenciate the W108 from the W109. Thanks

W109's have air suspension and a more luxurious interior, and are the long chassis version. There is an excepetion, the 66-67 300SE which doesn't have air suspension and is the regular length. There are W108 SEL's too.

So the 300SEL's are W109 and 280 SE and 280 SEL are W108?

W108 W109

My favorite is the W109 with 4.5 V8motor,
also is the very rare W109 with a 3.0 6cyl (econo) motor
And there is the go fastest 6.3 monster
