W111 Zenith Carb Rebuild Kits

My Zenith carbs work but need rebuilding, the secondary carbs/kickdown
is likewise not really doing its job.

Anyone know where to get cheap carb rebuild kits? Cant find any on
eBay at the moment. I assume the kits include diaphrams and
replacement jets etc..?

My throttle linkage is also worn, sometimes there is a bite as I push
for the kickdown and delayed acceleration. My mechanic friend blames
the linkage as there is no more adjustment left - is there a rebuild
kit for this?

Thanks your thoughts.
Richard

Richard,
There is a place in California called Jam Engineering, where I bought rep[lacement Weber carbs several years ago for the Zeniths. But I believe they also have Zenith parts. I am returning to restore my 1962 220Sb which has been in dry storage now. If I find additional parts sources for you, I will pass them on. Sometimes the throttle linkage of a VW can be modified to use for the Benzes. I did this with a 230S I had several years ago. Good luick!

Many thanks and wish you well also!

How did the Webers perform vis-a-vis the Zeniths by the way?

Came across this source of Z carb kits, seems to be a reliable supplier at around $50 a carb, a reasonable price as well. Will be giving them a call:

Mercedes-Benz Carburetor Kit

Cheers
