6.9 suspension conversion

Looking for someone that has swaped out the hydraulic for standard spring & shock set-up. I know there's a few out there. Would appreciate you help. Thanks.

I've not done it, but my father did. It's doable, and relatively easy. Shall I get more info? You'll need a junked 108 for the suspension stuff.

Nope, a 108. It was one I wrecked for him when I was 16. He was tired of messing with the air bags, the lines, the air compressor (and tired of trying to find leaks), so he took the guts of the wrecked car, and put them into his 300SEL. The local Benz guru about puked, as it turned the car into a 6.9 powered 280SEL. Aside from the wood interiors, the suspension system, the engine and a few other doo-dads, the cars are essentially the same chassis.

^ I'm guessing that you've confused a 6.3 with a 6.9. The thread-starter in this case, will require a w116 chassis. Much better to repair the car as is, IMHO.

Correct, confusing the two. For all you guys that say repair the original hydraulic, you can probably afford to keep putting money into the suspension, I can't.
