New larger wheels, What a difference

Hello everyone,

I recently updated the sl to 16x8" Ronal r-9s and moved the 15" to the 250c. Moving from the skinny stock size to the larger and wider tires makes it ride like a different (nicer) car. I think they look better. Here are some pictures.

Nice, bud!

The SL really looks nice on AMG Penta or R9s! using 8x16 rims, a 225 50 tire size look best.

As for the W114 coupe, they definitely look better with 15" rims thou if I may suggest, if you could find a prized set of Bundts 15s (7x15), they would surely be a jaw-dropper on the coupe!

Are the Ronals painted or polished? Got any better pics? Just curious.

Larger wheels

I installed 16X8 wheels on my 111 3.5 coupe from a R129 600SL. They are the chrome flat face alloys. Great improvement in handling and stability + they look great. I converted to studs-makes installing the wheels much easier.

Does putting the larger wheels on make the speedo inaccurate? Car looks good though!

Speedo

My speedo reads very low-Partly because of the larger tires and because of the 3.27 rear axle.
