Congratulations ...The car look's fantastic ! I'm not sure how to slove your idle question but it sound's like it just need's an adjustment of the idle speed to me but it could be something else too. Good luck with the car....Love the color combination......

When was the last tuneup and/or fuel system service?

Yup -- what Ike said. Start with the basics and go for a good old-fashioned tune-up -- points, cap, rotor, condensor, plugs, wires, fuel filter, air filter -- and see what that does for you.

Its been awhile, and check this out I just found out the car is a 230S. European car.

not a 220se, it has a carbarated motor instead of the fuel injection...

I guess the owner was going to do a change over.. .

also German star, Do you stock the basic tune up parts I will get the Vin#

Thanks

Clay

Yes, I'm sure we do. Might need more than a VIN though. The Bosch number off of the old distributor cap could be very helpful.

I'm afraid that's not the VIN. Look for the complete VIN on the title, registration, or insurance card (or on a tag on the driver's door post). And I'll still be wanting the number off of the old distributor cap.

You might want to open up the top covers of the carbs and change the accelerator pumps. They have little springs and leather like seals that tend to wear out.
