Another travesty

While we are on the theme of f**king up nice vintage mercs I thought I should add this one into the mix.

That is rather tasteful...compared to this!!

I think the chop is good, and the fins look nice, but he must have read every customs of the 60's book available and tried to incorporate a whole decades worth of mods on the one car...

Thanks for sharing....but...OMG

Now that takes the cake, a chopped fintail with a'58 Edsel flying vagina grille, and 1956 Plymouth "tribute" fins on it. The Heckflosse collides with the American 50's cars. (Yet, their styling originally was influenced by this to an extent...)

I goes far beyond parody........horrid......and reminds my why i hate the look of "hot rod" type cars so much.

The top one isn't actually so bad. It beats letting something like that sit in a junk yard, rusting out. The Edsel thing is pretty freakin' ghastly though.

I'm especially impressed with the convertible 300 - I'm thinking that Mercedes really outdid itself with this contraption ... suicide doors, hydraulic top. <gag>

I happen to like the 190. I don't know how they crammed another motor inside the tiny engine compartment.
