If your center console is wood you can have it refinished at a furniture repair shop. It should cost around $100.

Another way is to do it yourself. The clear finish is made of plastic so the only way to get it off is to sand it or torch it on a low fire until it gets warm enough to flake off. Make sure you wear safety glasses however because once the plastic get hot enough it has a tendency to crackle and pop. Once you've removed the plastic coating you can lightly sand the veneer layer and apply several coats of clear laquer

There is at least one upholstery company on the web that supplies carpet kits, but I can;'t think of the name. Keep searching google.

Welcome to BenzWorld bobert9093! You're going to need to focus on salvage yards for most interior parts, although I'm sure you can still purchase new carpet sets from retail auto upholstery suppliers. In regard to stuff like dashboards, consoles, door trim panels, etc., just find decent used pieces and don't concern yourself with the color. It's a simple matter to paint them the right color with leather dye.

Hi bobert, I plan to part out an entire 1976 300D soon which might work out well for both of us. What is the interior color of the 240D and where are you located?
