I am deeply interested in it..Was wondering if anyone from Ft. Lauderdale knows anything about this car? I am in Atlanta and contemplating of either flying down or driving down to pick it up. I would rather fly down and drive it home though. My main concern is RUSTS. I have seen a lot of nice paint job but when you look underneath at the rocker panels, it is full of holes.
Contact the owner and arrange a pre-purchase inspection, or get down there and look underneath the car yourself. You need to check brakes, front suspension grease points, are they clogged or has the car been regularly greased, how does the engine run and does it smoke. Does the trans slip and how does it shift. Check the rear axle boot for cracks or splits. Does the rear sag and how is the compensator spring, maybe it's been replaced with a spring. Check the flex joints. You don't want to drive it home and have them disintegrate.
A car this old will have problems, vacuum hoses, rubber parts, door seals etc. You'd better be handy with these cars or the labor costs will cost you big bux.
You can always buy the car and take it back by a trailer.
