I've seen folks in the forum jumper over the relay so that the pump runs continuously with the key on, regardless of whether the engine is running or being cranked. Can you rule out bad wiring or poor connections? When I bought my 108, I was chasing bad grounds and cracked wiring for months.

This isn't rocket science, I posted a simple training aid that will describe the circuits that run the fuel supply system and where the relays are. With that depending on your abilities to do diagnosis it should only take an hour to locate and understand the issue. I would attach a fuel pressure gauge prior just to be sure when it is working and not. i used to attach mine to the cold start spray valve as it is the easiest point.
