To hacksaw or not to hacksaw.

I've ran several of my gasoline cars with no muffler whatsoever before, it was very fun and very loud. Doing the same to a diesel sounds like trouble, but does anybody here know for sure. Even better, got a sound clip?

Does the word "TRACTOR" sound familiar?, thats what your Diesel will sound like without a muffler.

just after i got my 300D the exhaust system from about 1/2 way back became rather upset with me and decided to part ways on a rather busy road at o' 5 pm. she sounded like a gravel truck while accelerating but once you reached a constant speed after a up shift it was not to terrible. at highway speeds of 70+ it was not a fun trip whatsoever.
