Engine swap

I have a 1970 220 4 cyl gas car with manual transmission. I also have a 1975 280 6 cyl gas car with automatic transmission. The 1970 4 or 6 cyl engines were SOHC engines. The 1975 6 cyl was a DOHC engine. What is involved in taking the 1975 DOHC engine, mating it to the 1970 clutch, flywheel, and transmission and reinstalling it in my 1970 chassis? Would I be better off using a 1970 6 cyl SOHC engine? I may want to backdate the engine to carburettors. Good idea, or stick with the mechanical FI?
Also, I need to spruce up the interior in the 1970 model. Who is a REASONABLY priced supplier for seat covers, headliner, carpet, and door panels? Used is okay as long as it is in excellent condition. My 1970 is tobacco brown with a tan interior.
