Help with a 66' 250s

I have the oppurtunity to buy a 66' 250s 4dr. with a power sunroof and power steering. It is in decent condition, the chrome is excellent, paint is good, seats are great, needs alot of cleaning. The engine runs and fires up well, though it seems to miss a bit when it is cold. Ater it warms up it seems to run great I cleaned out the carbs and it seemed to make it idle better. The 4spd. manual tranny and clutch work perfectly. the brakes work great. The electrical system seems to have some issues, the radio doesn't work, the horn doesn't work, the wipers don't work and the interior lights don't work.

I work at a dealership in the service dept. and somone traded it in. I can get it for $500. Is this a good deal? what can be done to make this engine run a bit better? what signs should I look for that would indicate some future problems?
What should I be worried about with a car this old? Thank you.

To get the engine to run better, get rid of the carbs..Adapt electronic fuel injection.Fit a pertronix to the distributor and change the timing chain.
Then drive it as much as you can ,the more it is driven the better it will run.
$500 is good value ,Drive and Enjoy!!
Wipers,Horn and interior light will oK,just remove the fuses and replace them with new ones after you clean the fuse hiolders with something abrasive. The quality of the electrical components is what sets mercs apart from everything else.
