My dad and I are restoring a '74 240D (w115), and it seems impossible to pull the old oil bath air filter out of it's housing. Is there a certain procedure for this? I'm having trouble finding it in the online manuals.
An A/C hose goes around the housing making it even more difficult, but if we get that hose down under the housing, the filter still almost, but not quite, comes out. Thanks!
