Advice on buying 1973 280 4-door

I live in Arizona, USA and have found a nice 1973 280 4-door for sale. It has been an Arizona car its entire life and so has virtually no rust. It was owned by an old lady for the first 30 years. It has 89k miles on it. The engine is seized due to being run low on oil (leak). It was last run in December, 2005. The body and interior is great. What should I look for? Obviously it needs an engine rebuild. What else to look for that can be expensive to fix. Are parts freely available? Can any good mechanic work on this car or should I trust only Mercedes specialists. Any advice appreciated.

Most parts are still available -- I'm sure you won't have any problem in that arena in regard to an engine rebuild.
