need trunk lock for 1968 mercedes 220 D

My trunk lock went out in my 1968 220D - does anyone have any ideas for finding the replacement trunk lock mechanism? I need the actual lock cylinder that the key goes into. The car has manual locks. I've been looking forever with no luck. thanks so much for any help!

any other 220 D owners feel free to get in touch - I am a new owner and am in the process of converting to SVO/WVO.

have you looked at a pick a part place in your area? maybe try craigslist for tools wanted or contact your local mechanic. if the car is mechanically sound you could drive the car to los angeles and there is a great WVO converter here. he charges $700 to do it but you dont have to have seperate tank for the oil and you can also put diesel in there as well as bio diesel or any mixture of the 3! i think the conversion takes 24-48 hours to complete, but while you are here, you can check out the craigslist for parts (LOTS of mercedes benzs here!) so you might have more luck finding a part. you might even find one on ebay! if not, post to want it now on ebay and you might get a response!

websites to check out!

BTW.....i LOVE the color of your car! what is the name or number of that paint? is it the original paint or was it done more recently? i want to re-paint my car and i really like that color!!!! =0)
