123 convertible

I bought a 123 280ce convertible conversion (Mentioned in the past on this forum). It is fun, unique and drives pretty well. But, it has a few "issues". The frame of the convertible top has come unwelded. It has floor board rust behind the driver seat, in front of the passenger compartment and in the trunk. It needs the clips (the track) that holds each of the rear windows in place so they can go up and down. Needs a/c repair, fan and compressor. Needs some minor body work (trunk lid is uneven, probably from someone sitting on it) and to be sharp it should be painted.
And now, I am loosing my garage!
Any idea as to how to value this car?

You probably don't want to hear it but the W123 wasn't designed as a convertible so the unitbody is weaker without the roof in place. The make things worse the rusting may go through to the frame and that makes the car unsafe to drive. In an accident the car may not provide the safety that was dependent upon it's structure with the roof in place.

I would say about a $1000-1500 tops if the engine is in excellent condition.

The car was converted in 1978 by a company in Alabama. The frame appears to be reenforced along the door sills. The doors open and close perfectly so there is no sign of flex.
True, it doesn't have a roll bar nor does it have airbags. But what "classics" do?

We went down to Ashland city on Sunday. Pretty drive. Got a couple of "trade ya" offers include a 1998 4 matic wagon. (high miles) The garage (with house attached) hasn't sold yet so I still have a parking spot.
Thoughts as to the value from others?
