Restoring a '71 280 SL

I found a really cherry survivor, but i would like to put everything under the hood close to like new. Please point out good resources for OEM parts and like new rebuilt, please. Also, if there are special manuals/books that are particularly pertinent in restoring this car, (other than the CD's being hawked on Ebay) I would like to know what it is and, if possilbe, where I might find it.

What specifically are you looking for? There are different sources for different things.

Thumbs up OEM parts

I have purchased many parts for my 3.5 coupe from Autohaus AZ and and some from the dealer that i could not find anywhere else.
I only buy OE and OEM parts so they should satisfy you.
Miller's Mercedes is also good for restoration parts. World Ulphostery is good for interior parts. And there is always Ebay. I have scored quite a few sleepers there. (like a NOS grill for a 3.5 coupe in the sealed dealer wrapper)
