Is there a big difference between a 280SE and the 280E. If so, What is it?

RE: 1979 280 E

Thanks, but my 280E has leather interior. I think the "S" stands for 4 dr sedan. My 280 E is a four door Sedan, fully loaded all the "bells and whistles". I still cannot figure what the difference would be?

Guys, I'm gonna put you out of your misery. The 280SE is an S-Class Mercedes, full-size. The 280E is the equivalent of what we now call the E-Class, which is mid-size.

Use the "Model Guide" at the top of every page on this site to learn more.

Mistery solved. I am so grateful for your response. Mid size with the bells and whistles of the full size. Thanks for the info.
