Give the classic center a call on Monday. Does he have Motor and Chassis #? 1-866-622-5277. This is a toll-free number.

Unless the car is a prototype of some sort, I think not...

I think it's a typo or someone lied to him...

I contacted the seller,he insists it's a 4 wheel drive,I agree with your photo it does not look like a 4 wheel drive.

RE: 190 SL-4 WHEEL DRIVE?

I'm 99.99% sure a 4WD 190SL was never built.
There's defintly no axle or drive shaft on that car so unless it has some kind of flush fitting electric hub motor (LOL) I think he must be getting mixed up with '4 wheel hydraulic brakes' which it would have had in 1955.

RE: 190 SL-4 WHEEL DRIVE?

The car is in Mexico - probably a little translation problem with "four wheel drive" [;)]

RE: 190 SL-4 WHEEL DRIVE?

Impossible - no 4wd 190SL was ever built.

Who is bidding on this thing? 22 bids and it is at $45,000?? No way this is legit unless we are talking pesos. Did you see the bottom? This car isn't worth 1/2 that amount.

Search first, ask second!
