Wow-I had no idea 3.5's were going for that much. I see them on ebay quite frequently and have seen cars described as "showroom" going for 25-30K but without a close physical inspection there's no telling what it is. For such a rare car there seems to be a lot of them available. I have seen 3 advertised in a 50 mi radius of where I live and even saw one in the local Home depot parking lot a few weeks ago. I few mos ago I saw one on the road and followed the guy a few blocks till he pulled over. Turns out I work with his son-never knew his dad had a 3.5. The guy bought it new.

Once we are talking about 3.5's I have to shear with you the joy having and driving this car. I got it over a year ago. It needs a lot of "little" things to be perfect, but it is very driveable and presentable. I use it every weekend, had a few longer trips. I get thumbs up on the freeway, questions at the gas station. I think this the most elegant Mercedes ever built!
