vbelts

Hi all,

I've been to the local autopart stores around town for replacement v-belts for
the generator and PS.

Everybody has a different size and none of them fit.

Anybody know what the correct size is?

72 250 M130 w114.

Thanks

George

That's the model #, I need the chassis #, which would be something like 114.011 12 066615 or something, thank you.

My data says for P/S the size is 13.0x825 and for the alternator 10x935. It also says you need two of the latter part.

RE: vbelts

Ike, you got the steering belt size right, but not the alternator (according to my listing, at least). ggenovez -- do you have one or two alternator belts? If you have one, the size is 10x910; if you have two, they are one each of 10x935 + 10x740.

RE: vbelts

Thank you all,

Yes I do have a single alternator belt. the autoparts store sold me an 11av0900 and with the adjuster all the way up I could not get the belt over the pulley.

At least without any screwdrivers, pliers, channel locks, acetyline torch ... ;)

Thanks

RE: vbelts

Is your air conditioner connected? Are there any other unused grooves besides your second alternator groove?

My '72 250C is in the shop, or else I'd go outside and look, but I seem to recall that I have a double-groove alternator pulley, and that both grooves have belts in them.
