RE: w115 rims, engine
The 115 is a pretty tough old lump.
For some mods, start by fitting a Pertronix to the distributor then getb it recurved to allow the advance to come in sooner.
The exhuast is a bit restricted so look at getting a better exhaust manifold made to allow free breathing at low to medium revs and either get an intake manifold made to fit a bigger carb,or dual side draft webbers.I would install a Holley Projection 2 bbl tbi and use a Megasquirt ecu to control the fuel map.that will give more useable power to keep up with modern traffic without having to Flow the head or regrind the cam ,with all the "cash " that would involve.
You can go to 16x6.5 or 16x7 rims under the 115.i have test fitted some AMG pentas i have here and theres plenty of room.At the moment I'm only running 14x6.5 on my 114 with NO problems of rubbing etc.
