Seeking Engine for 1976 300d W115

Does anyone have a good used engine for sale? I have a 1976 300d I LOVE and it's engine has croaked. I plan to keep this red beauty forever so I am looking for a very good engine. Write me directly if you like!

Smile Have 300D thinking of parting out!

I have a 1976 300D - 115 Chassis. I had a problem 20 years ago with the starter not engaging correctly but it would start! Upon starting it at the Battery shop (thought it was my battery) I heard a scraping noise like something rubbing up against my Flywheel. The car ran fine for the 5 mile trip home no smoke and idled perfect. I had the engine rebuilt just 5 months prior to this happening (complete rebuild). I should have driven it over to the mechanic who rebuilt the Transmission (3 months prior) and have him look at it. No I am a skilled tradesman and figured I would fix the starter and look into it. Well, 20 years it has sat in the garage where I shut if off. Ocassionally I rolled it out of the garage to clean and right back in. Toledo, OH will not allow for me to store it in my backyard or in my driveway without plates and being moved (city ordinance). I was digaosed with Cancer last year and I am in remission. I have to get that car out of the garage one way or another. I have done almost everything to my 2004 VW Jetta TDI and I have tools and lifts, jacks and power tools to do any job. No idea what costs to ship, Engine should be like brand NEW so is Transmission!
